Did you hit a Plateau?

If you find your weight loss is on a plateau, don’t worry! You’ll get through it. Instead, focus on your measurements instead of the number on the scale, and don’t let the plateau defeat you.  Try adding in cardio.  Do fasted cardio (first thing in the morning on an empty stomach)  whether it is biking, running, or the elliptical.  I like to do intervals on the treadmill.  I enjoy starting with a fast pace walk for about five minutes to warm up.  Then I sprint for 90 seconds, jog for 60 seconds, and last fast pace walk for 1 minute 30 seconds repeating until I hit 30-45 minutes.  I do this for a week and then change it up so my body does not get use to the same routine. Just don’t push yourself too hard.  And have fun doing it.

How are you sleeping?  Are you getting enough sleep?  Are you restless throughout the night?  I strive for 8 hours at least a night.  If you are lacking sleep you can actually gain weight.  I love Yoli Dream to help me get a restful sleep.  This stuff is amazing.  Check it out for yourself in our shop.  You can purchase it today.

Make sure you are staying hydrated.  I shoot for 100 ounces of water a day or more.  Make sure you at least get half your body weight in ounces per day.  For example if you weight 150 pounds make sure you get at least 75 ounces a day minimum.  Water flushes out your system, and if you are like me and like flavored water check out my true lemon post.

Make sure you are eating something every two hours, even if it’s just a handful of almonds don’t skip on your meals.  Get enough protein in as well.  I try to get in at least 120-150 grams of protein a day in.  Especially if you are lifting and want to gain muscle like I am working towards.  You want to make sure you lose fat not muscle.  Remember its mind over matter if you are not losing weight revisit your diet plan and make some changes.  Eliminate sugar and watch your salt intake.  That can help a lot.  Watch your dairy intake and make sure you are carb cycling.  I do not eat any carbs past two in the afternoon and only on certain days.  Make sure you are tracking what you eat and the calories you are consuming.  I use My fitness Pal and love it.  Check out the Yoli meal plan.  It has helped me and it can help you too.  We have a plan for everyone.  You just make it your own.  You can get out of this plateau and start losing again.  Maybe all you need is a good body cleanse to jump start again.  Check out my post on the body cleanse I chose to do and my results.  Let me know how you were able to get out of your plateau and how you feel now?
