Eating Healthy on a Budget

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive.  I have actually found ways to save money by planning ahead.  Make sure you plan your meals out.  I grill all my meat on the weekend and pack my protein for the whole week.  Stick to your grocery list and don’t walk down every aisle.  Trust me it will save you a lot of money.  I usually only walk around the outside of the store, the meat counter and fresh produce section.  Cook at home and make enough to prepare several meals for the next few days.  Don’t shop when you are hungry ever or you will buy everything,  Buy food in bulk and stock up on the deals.  Buy cheaper cuts of meat.  Stop thinking you need prime rib or a T-bone steak every night.  Try to grow some of your own produce.  We have a garden and do some canning and it really helps with cost and is so good.  Plus my son loves to grow his own food!  Pack a lunch and don’t eat in the cafeteria every day or eat out while at work.  It will save you money and time. Hope these tips help you out like they did me.
